The focus is on strengths instead of weaknesses, building the good in life instead of repairing the bad, and taking the lives of average people up to “great” instead of focusing solely on moving those who are struggling up to “normal

The therapeutic relationship is a very unique and different relationship. I will support you, guide you, offer a helpful perspective, and celebrate each of your gains. I’ll let you know when you’re jumping to negative conclusions and I’ll do the same when you aren’t giving yourself enough credit. I create a connection with my clients in the first session through my casual tone, conversational communication style, and my ability to make others comfortable almost immediately.

I approach therapy with the idea that the things you tell yourself day-in and day-out have a huge effect on how you experience your life.  Our thoughts affect the way we feel and the way we behave, so it’s an important starting point for us to identify our negative self talk or self defeating narrative we have created.

I foster a safe environment to process your thoughts, and I enlist a pragmatic and supportive style of treatment. I allow you to be seen, heard, and validated. I care about my patients, and with time I can be directive and motivational. I will start where you are and give you the space and time for self-actualization and exploration.
